Review for FNE International, E Weymouth , MA, USA
My first experience with FNE was when I volunteered to go on one of their medical missions to Peru. Healthcare screening was performed at a temporary tent camp in the town center of a city near Cusco. FNE had recruited premed students, physician assistant students, as well as practicing nurses, and medical doctors. All expenses for the medical crew and supplies were covered by grants and donations. It was a wonderful and fulfilling experience for me. I have visited Nicaragua as a member of Rotary International and have seen the work that FNE has done and is doing in building houses and supporting education in local schools outside the city of León. Highschool students in New England have had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua during school vacations to participate in the building of homes with the support of FNE. Not only does FNE better the lives of families in Nicaragua, Peru, and the Dominican Republic, it also promotes volunteerism, character building, and understanding of US high school and college students. I have been donating to FNE for 4 years and will continue to support the efforts of the staff, crew and objectives of this effective charitable organization.
