A healthcare provider recommended that we look into a psychiatric service dog for a family member. We came across PSDP in our research and were able to attend their annual convention. The group was warm, welcoming, and had a tremendous amount of thoughtful, well-researched, positive and affirming information for psychiatric service dog teams. It is an outstanding resource for individuals who have a psychiatric service dog, as well as those that are thinking of training their own service dogs, which for some people is the only reasonable path (program-trained dogs can be hard to find and are often very expensive!).

Members of the group also provide excellent advocacy for service dog handlers and disabled folx in general, and the resources on the website are extensive and accurate. This is a great organization!
