Grist is a vital part of my daily news feed. They capture what is current while storing enough data to research many things important to my daily life. As a founder of a local startup trying to focus the public spotlight on externalized costs Grist's audience is my audience. I believe their are many NFP's that feel the same.

GM foods and Monsanto. I first learned about the massive machinations of this corporation in controling all plant seeds worldwide. They are almost done with less than 20% of seed available to the public coming from non Monsanto owned corporations.
