I began my journey at Isaiah House in 2018. I was beat down, sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was drinking about a 5th of alcohol each day. Isaiah House took the time to make sure that I was okay and fed me and my health issues were addressed. I had two heart attacks, 3 congestive heart failures and a number of other health issues prior to arriving. I began to go to classes to address the underlying problems that had plagued me for many years with the help of peer support and clinicians who were more than generous with the help they provided. I became the person that for many years I was wanting to be. I have now been with them for over 4 years. I am employed by them, and continue to help others as I was helped to be able to sustain my sobriety.
