Through a very fortunate chain of events, I found Shadow Cats. I’m in a rural part of Texas where I think it’s safe to say the cat population probably meets or even exceeds the human population. There are zero rescues or resources to help cats. I had a crash course in rescue and specifically in TNR- which SC taught me a LOT and provided guidance & encouragement as I fumbled through trying to slow the booming cat population that was directly around me. The knowledge I have gained from SC since I started TNR is invaluable. And because of their The One Life Fund, I have been able to TNR, trap/tame/adopt, and even provide medical attention for injured colony cats. Dozens of cats neutered means there won’t be hundreds of unwanted kittens born in the wild and doomed to live a life of fear, health issues, and the danger of predators- both human and animal. Shadow Cats and their One Life Fund is a blessing and evidence that their mission to impact the lives of cats is making a difference.
