Hello all! My name is Mara Tissera Luna, I'm an independent research consultant based in Silicon Valley, CA. I worked as a research consultant for CJE between April and September 2022 to produce an advocacy report with policy recommendations to prevent child deaths during divorce and separation proceedings. This was a co-production, participatory research, so it involved many meetings and discussions with the CJE team to ensure the final advocacy report be actionable and as helpful as possible for CJE's advocacy work.

I've worked for and with over 11 national NGOs, international agencies, and universities in/for 13 countries in total, and I can confidently say that CJE is amongst the most dedicated, passionate teams with whom I've ever worked. Their team is highly knowledgeable because each staff has several years of professional experience in the field, and they're very generous with their knowledge. They've achieved great progress in the field of family courts, and they've been essential in raising awareness on the issue of preventable child deaths during divorce and separation proceedings.
