The Chewonki Foundation policies and practices are discriminatory. Their leadership is not community minded and follows a rigid corporate structure that removes any consideration of the human element. If you or your child fit their narrow definition of "acceptable" they'll leave you singing kumbaya, but if you fall outside that narrow spectrum, be prepared to be discriminated against and even swindled. Do not consider any of their programs for your kids and do not give them your money. They claim to be rooted in place but they only care about themselves and not the community from which they leech their funds and hoard their land.
