I am a volunteer who was part of the summer program. My role included working hands on with the teen mentors and helping them in their life skills lessons.
I am at awe with the dedication that Magin and Cliff have for this program. It is truly unique and more than a handful caring for the teens needs.
I am grateful for my experience working with the teens. I felt it was definitely a learning experience for everyone involved. I really saw the inside look of the lack of basic skills these young ladies have and how they are taught and guided throughout the program.
While I would encourage anyone to volunteer, please come with an open mind. The amount of growth these children and teens need is a lot and the experience is not as expected.
