I am the Board Chair of this fabulous organization. For several years I watched the growth of this group in the services provided to seniors who have nowhere else to turn to. No one was turned away. Nothing was impossible to try to make better. The mission statement: A roof over your head, lights on, food on the table and medication to treat disease, is still the mission today only we do it much better, reaching more clients, providing more services each year! We do this better than our local government agencies because we are completely independent of them and are free to develop more effective programs all the time. Our staff are fully invested in the cause and treat our clients like family, because they are!

I am currently the Board Chair of SilverSource. I took on this position because I believe in the mission of SilverSource and the ability of the organization to meet its ever expanding goals. No where else in our area are services for seniors met with the level of expertise and caring that we provide. This is done with a combination of paid staff and volunteers who ALL go above and beyond their job descriptions. This is because we all recognize the value of what we provide to the less fortunate seniors in our community.
When COVID became a reality we were forced to curtail our operations. Actually, we began doing something new and exciting and developed our own food bank and distribution service which became so popular that we continue to do this today. Every year we provide more services and raise more funds because we are good at what we do. I am only a little excited by this organization!
