When I participated in the Simonton Cancer retreat last January and February I received more support than I ever anticipated I would. The tools, the staff, their skill and generosity gave me what I needed to face a difficult diagnosis and begin to focus on “getting well”. With their encouragement I brought my husband as my support person and we were able to learn remarkable skills together that we continue to use. It’s truly a blessing that this program exists, that it is affordable, and provides for a great need for support to cancer patients.
