I was so impressed with my recent visit to Nepal to see first hand the results of OI's community based development in Sikharpa, and Pahade Thapa Gaun. Completed projects included diversified vegetable farming for food security and income, information, communication and technology center, seasonal seedling production, vegetable collection center, bio-sand filtration, livestock loan, and the building of a library. Community leaders demonstrated such knowledge, pride, commitment and anticipation of future projects that will continue to address their long term issues of poverty.
