My Nonprofit Reviews
Laura N.
Review for Nevada P E P Inc, Las Vegas, NV, USA
My daughter is 12 years old and has cerebral palsy. Over the years Nevada PEP has been a great resource. I have called numerous times just to ask questions like "Is there anyone in town who can help with . . ." or "Is there a such thing as a therapist who helps with . . ." Any question I have related to my child's special needs has been answered. They have helped me understand more about the school system and the IEP, even going with me to an IEP meeting to help me in getting my daughter's needs met. The best thing is that when something happens and I am really upset, they are just a phone call away. They listen, sympathize and help me to solve my problem. Don't know what I would do without them!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
Helping me to find the community resources to help my child, helping me to understand my child's IEP, helping me to resolve problems with my child's school.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Find a way to make sure all parents of special needs children really knew about their services as early as possible. Maybe working with the early intervention program, or the elementary schools. I know it would probably take a huge advertising budget, but if there were only some way to get more information out so people like me would start using their services earlier in their child's life.
