Review for Women's eNews, New York, NY, USA
I have been reading Women's E-news for a long time, and look forward to it everyday. The information is timely, accurate and speaks to issues that the other sources ignore. When the news says women and children first, they mean, who can we leave out? When Women's E-news says women and children first, it means what can we do to enhance the life of every woman and every child? I use Women's enews in my classes that I teach at Rutgers University. For example, in my Women, Culture & Society undergraduate class, many of the articles that have to do with how women are viewed in the US and the world fit right into my curriculum. When we study Women, war and Terrorism, one of the units, the articles that show are women are treated in other countries such as the women on Women's Shleter in Afghanastan or the one in January about the UN Superagency for women, all are excellent teaching tools. I also use the women's enews in my gradate social work class on Violence and Abuse in Childhood and encourage my students to subscribe to the daily enews.
Perhaps what is most important to me is that this organization not only speaks to my teaching and my brain, it speaks to my heart.
