Review for Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, St. Louis, MO, USA
I have had the pleasure of being involved with the Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition since 2009. My favorite story os when a team of volunteers came together to build a wheelchair ramp to a foster parents home. It took two nights and at dusk on the 2nd day, when the job was complete, one of the foster children came outside with her foster mom. She was blind but began singing “Did you ever know you’re my hero” in the most angelic voice. It was a powerful amount. This is just one of so many amazing stories about this organization’s work.

Review for Foster & Adoptive Care Coalition, St. Louis, MO, USA
I have been on the the FACC Jr. Board for 1.5 years. I am the 2011 Jr. Board President. I can personally attest for the good this organization does for the St. Louis community by helping those children who are unlikely to be adopted through the traditional channels. The FACC has been acknolwedged in the NY Times and most recently Time Magazine for its groundbreaking method of finding homes for foster children. The campaign is called extreme recruitment. It has been widely successful and is only in its infancy. The employees and volunteers for The Coalition are beyond impressive in how much dedication they show towards the children and foster parents in St. Louis. I am very proud to be so involved with the FACC.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
multiple fundraisers and training events for foster parents. We have taken on such projects as building a wheelchair ramp so a disabled foster child could stay in his foster home. The long days work ended with a blind daughter seeing "did you ever know you're my hero". It made me speechless.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
At this time I do not have specific changes to recommend.
