DRP’s spirit began for me freshman-year, day 1 when I wandered into our Buffalo-university campus radio station. Bill Siemering, DRP’s Founder and then our central and inner-city satellite station Manager, said “Hi I’m Bill. What’s your name and what would you like to do?” In that spirit DRP works with local radio stations, in developing countries, providing them with the skills they need to bring reliable information to those who need it the most.

Managers, producers, engineers and trainers work with DRP to do what broadcast does best. In many geographies and languages-from many cultures and histories, they tell their stories. Measurable differences result from their broadcasts. They produce radio that has, produced results that impose limits on child-bride practice; get sanitary hygiene products into schools so girls can attend without interruption; make sure government health authorities honor their commitments and provide HIV resources; identify practical climate and conservation measures helpful to local farmers; and so much more. For me serving DRP and the people it serves is my honor. I support DRP and hope you will too.
