This organization has advocated and supported opportunities for youth to develop and use their voices for nearly a century, and as the NSDA heads toward its second century, the value of its work and the importance of opportunities for students in the next generation to discover their voice and develop agency in their futures has never been greater. Every student deserves and needs the opportunity to participate in speech and debate activities that are equitable, meaningful, and fun. These opportunities reflect the very center of what equitable educational opportunity is all about, and the NSDA is leaning into the collaborative work of creating opportunities for all students, especially those whose voices are too often excluded and marginalized.
