Review for Art Therapy Studio, Cleveland, OH, USA
I learned about The Art Therapy Studio simply because it was the only place offering a collage class at the time. A dozen years later, not only do I continue to enjoy the various collage offerings, I have learned that the 'therapy' in art is a beautiful thing for all of us! Friendships have flourished, skills have been honed, and there is a wonderful anticipation to being with a supportive group of people on so many levels. It's very special when you take a class to learn something new and it opens a whole new world to you.

All I wanted was to learn to do collage....and I ended up with years of warm and generous friendships. This art class is therapy in so many ways. While we stretch our creative possibilities, we share our lives with our classmates. We are open to each other's offers and insights. We pull our collective backgrounds into play while growing as individuals along the way. We have learned that , indeed, we Can Do. We have learned to applaud our successes. Whether we come into the class suffering in some emotional, physical, or mental way....or come into class on top of the world...we're all in it together. Everyone is there to work with you. And , you know what?, the art we produce is darn good too!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
...the lift in my heart when I look forward to attending class. I'm eager to get to work...but just as eager to help someone along where I may. I've learned to be patient and to stretch my ideas of art. I love the child like feeling of discovery that Marty Stitt brings to her classes.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
make sure the Board is aware of fundings that trickle down to the little people in the classes. That's where the real action is...the real success.
