What started out in 2001 as a plan to refurbish a wide-bodied jet into a flying hospital, has dramatically changed into a far more affective model, of manufacturing and delivering mobile, state-of-the-art mobile clinics, fitted out as dentistry, ophthalmology through to surgical, direct to various developing countries and to medical charities or organisations working in those countries. No longer inappropriate flying hospitals, but clinics and emergency shelters ferried in large cargo jets that can operate into small challenging areas. I applaud the team at Global Flying Hospitals for their initiatives, ability to change to suit the changing and challenging world and their endless vision to help others.
