I have seen the amazing work at BHFER rescue. i started volunteering there about `5 years ago. I learned the hardwork and heartache that Theresa and Bob and her village of volunteers have to experience when this neglected and injured animals come to the farm some barely hanging on by a thread. Many times I said to myself Dear Lord This one is never going to survive.!! But time and time again Theresa pulled them thru by a MIRACLE ! Miracles do happen here.!!! Though I no longer physically volunteer at BHFER I am still a proud supporter and have moved on to a different part of rescuing. Theresa gets calls and other people get calls to help horses in need by calling the authorities and reporting abuse and following up that the Law does not let them fall thru the cracks ,AND THEY DO! many of the ones I follow with authorities end up at BHFER. IT TAKES A VILLAGE. Candace and Sohia was one of those cases. The Authorities were floundering and when Theresa found out she went to the owner and Convinced her to let them come to BHFER and thank God she did Little Candace would not have survived much longer.! the horses are well cared for and everything possible is done for all the horses. Volunteers are the back bone to keep this place running. and ALWAYS NEEDED!!
