LEAP is an organization run by and about people living with disabilities. This organization helped my late husband, who had cerebral palsy, in the late 80's and 90's to become assertive and involved in the community. They looked for a job for him to use his abilities, even after he became paralyzed with transverse myelitis. They are now supporting our youngest son who lives with autism to transition out to the working world....and now supporting me, since I am dealing with lymphoma. I'd like to shout out their longevity, dedication, and living out the vision of empowerment to people dealing with atypical issues.

Susan, a therapist at the Art Therapy Studio, reached and brought me to understand my middle child, who was between 2 special needs children. They formed a relationship with my whole family, so that I went back to receive therapy with a group of ladies doing art. That was a wonderful, healing experience.
