The Assistance League of Charlotte is an incredible organization of member volunteers giving of their time and talents to benefit the children of Charlotte Mecklenburg School District. Every volunteer’s skill is put to use and considered vital to operating the organization and the Thrift Shop. Our Thrift Shop provides reasonable prices to the public for donated items that have been readied for sale in the shop with hours of preparation by hardworking volunteer members. Membership in the Assistance League of Charlotte has been the most satisfying volunteer experience in my lengthy, nationwide history of philanthropy.

Assistance League of Charlotte is a strong organization of hardworking volunteers who believe in the future of CMS students. Uniforms, food banks, Teen Court, books, scholarships, and a Thrift Shop that serves their customers well. AL volunteers can put a smile on a child’s face with shoes that fit, a new suit for a job interview, encourage a “stop and think “ moment for a teen, food banks for the underserved school; it is the most gratifying volunteer experience i have had in my many years of service to others.
