I've been volunteering for PHS for years but up until this year it's been on a periodic basis. In 2022 I took the cat orientation class so that I could begin regularly photographing the cats available for adoption. I've thoroughly enjoyed the experience -- especially getting to know the adoption counselors and staff that care for the animals. I adopted my cat there over a decade ago and knew the care was really good but now I can speak from having seen it firsthand that it is indeed extraordinary. The animals are really well tended and this gives them a much better chance being adopted.
