The coaches and staff at Best Foot Forward (BFF) are dedicated to helping foster children in the Palm Beach County school system achieve academic success. As a volunteer at BFF, I contribute to a variety of projects and serve on several committees. Debbie and Donna, BFF’s founders, set high standards for us, and we understand that by putting our “best foot forward,” we’re actively supporting the program’s success.

Volunteering at BFF is rewarding and fun! I have been a volunteer for four years and feel respected, appreciated, and valued. I look forward to continuing to serve this vital nonprofit for many years to come.

I have the privilege of serving as a volunteer in Best Foot Forward (BFF). Whenever I volunteer at the BFF office, whether I am filling backpacks for back-to- school or serving on a committee, Debbie and Donna, the founders of BFF, always take the time to express their gratitude to the volunteers. The BFF staff demonstrates their commitment and appreciation as well. I love the way they recognize our strengths, respect our limitations, and encourage us to extend ourselves beyond our comfort zone. While accomplishing our numerous tasks, we are a beehive of activity. While we work, we converse, laugh, sing along to music, and pool our talents Debbie and Donna set the tone, and we follow their lead as we strive for excellence in everything we do for this vital nonprofit. The foster children we serve deserve nothing less; therefore, each volunteer puts their Best Foot Forward.

BFF’s attention to detail is exemplary. This organization dedicates itself to working above and beyond to provide much needed services, resources, and personal attention to the foster care youth in the BFF program. As a retired educator, I value the tremendous impact this organization has upon the academic success of its participants. Additionally, I love interacting with other passionate volunteers. The BFF administrators and staff treat the volunteers with respect and kindness. The varied volunteer opportunities attract people with a variety of skill sets. I consider it a privilege to be a BFF volunteer.
