Rescued dogs have different needs. That is a fact. The process of adopting a dog can be extremely stressful but when you finally find your match it’s all worth it! Sometimes, you and your new family member find that you don’t understand one another. Your pet has had a whole life‘s worth of transition and for some, trauma, before they came home to your house. How could you possibly understand or anticipate their needs? That’s where Doing Right By Rescues comes in. They decode your pups messages. They Identify and begin to help them unpack their baggage. Their intervention is a game changer. It leads to a happy home for you and your dog. They fill a critical niche that no other professional does. They are not trainers, that’s too narrow a descriptor- they are interpreters and doggy mental health professionals. Trying to manage on your own with behavioral specialists and conflicting advice it’s just exhausting and in our case did not lead to a resolution. The relief I felt when I met Pam and her organization cannot be overstated. And I have heard the same from those that I have referred to her. This is not a job for Pam and her team, it’s a calling and it shows. Our family will be forever grateful for the support that they offer to rescuers and their families. keep up the good work!
