With my family, I have attended and volunteered at ECF events for almost 10 years - it was something we bonded over, and had fun doing, just making memories. It wasn't until we received the diagnosis of childhood cancer for my daughter did it really hit home how important having a place to go like ECF really is. When your head is spinning with emotions, they are right there to support- helping ground you, take care of remembering the basics you need like food, reminding you even when it's really hard, celebrations like holidays and birthdays for the entire family are never low on their list, esp when your list is soo long. There are resources out there, but none that make it as easy and definitely none as personal as ECF. It has been the most rewarding experience to support the mission of this organization as a family.
