As a long time volunteer and now coordinator of a local chapter, I've seen MATHCOUNTS adapt through many changes seamlessly. The people at the national level are excellent to communicate with and keep the competition and all the coordinators so well organized.
I've watched participants work their way through 3 or 4 years of competitions, and it's so much fun to see them grow in their math knowledge. We've even had past competitors return as coaches.
I think MATHCOUNTS provides such valuable lessons for the kids these days.
