Volunteering as a MCF Board Member has been deeply gratifying.
I find you share vulnerabilities when working on applicant grants. Having the power to improve an employee’s life when they are experiencing a need for financial support through diverse hardship is a privilege.
I also value the impact of our talented MCF Outreach Committee Board Member and volunteer efforts. Not in order of priority:
• Payroll donation program allows me to give as I earn in a tax-effective manner and lets the Committee disburse funds where they are most needed
• Supporting donation stations is more crucial than ever to diminish immediate effects of hunger
• Adopted virtual technology applications crushed pandemic restrictions! Establishing our virtual Amazon wish list made “paying it forward” through direct orders possible for shut-ins.
