I have been on several boards during my 50+ years in private industry. I was a board member for DBL 2012 - 2018. I continue to volunteer from time to time for special projects. My observations, DBL is one of the best run companies, Non Profit or for Profit that I have encountered. Progressive, well thought out goals for improving operations and achieving them. Staying the course in achieving worthwhile long range growth paths and constantly searching for ways to squeezing more effectiveness out of their donations and other funding while keeping a focus on constantly improving ways to serve their clients. . During Covid, they exemplified how firms should manage and support their staff and care for their operations (in this case the dogs in training) Great organization.
