I've volunteered at No Limits for deaf children for the past four years. I've had the pleasure of working in many different roles, including tutoring K-12 students, assisting with the summer theater program, and helping with fundraising galas. During the pandemic, I had one-on-one tutoring sessions with students to help them with their school work, and I really enjoyed watching them have fun and learn. The summer theater program was extremely effective at improving the kids' confidence and speaking ability. It was exciting to see an impressive play come together in just a few weeks, from the effort of the children and workshop team of volunteers. The fundraising galas are extravagant annual events that raise thousands of dollars for No Limits and demonstrate gratitude to donors. From my experience at No Limits, it is clear that their resources are well used to constantly improve the learning center and opportunities for the children.
