Review for The Sato Project, Brooklyn, NY, USA
I volunteered for the Sato Project for 7 years.
After hurricane Maria, I made the though decision to move to the United States to reunite with my husband who lost his job in P.R. due to the destruction. I couldn't have done it without the "No dog left behind" program for The Sato Project. I was a rescuer too so I had a pack of four dogs at the time. This mighty heroes transported my dogs for free. When we touched down in New Jersey, our husband was waiting for us. We were a family again! Before this happened I also benefited from spay/neuter/vaccination clinics and even microchips for an accessible price and sometimes free. I cannot thank The Sato Project enough. They have saved thousands of stray dogs and guaranteed a healthier life to owned pets through their health clinics. It is a truly deserving organization. I cannot finish without mentioning that when the hurricane destroyed the island they provided us volunteers with supplies such as batteries, lamps, etc, through a support mission from the mainland. Also, they had pet food drives because at that point people couldn't find food for their pets.
