Review for Shadow Cats Rescue, Round Rock, TX, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Shadow Cats One Life Fund helped me get vet care for a community cat in San Marcos / Hays County. She was picked up and taken to the vet where is was estimated she was 9 years old and weighed only 3.7 pounds. Their financial assistance was able to get her medication for an upper respiratory infection, blood work done to help pin point her medical needs, and an ultra sound to detect if she had stomach cancer. She has been at the vet for 2 weeks and is slowly improving. All these tests and treatments were large in costs and their assistance made such a difference for Daisy. I'm so grateful for organizations like the One Life Fund that can help those animals in such great need.

My neighborhood is growing very quickly and we are seeing a lot of neighbors move in and out. There have been so many stray cats in the neighborhood so I have begun to TNR the strays so that innocent babies are not being born. Shadow Cats One Life Fund has been able to help me do this (financially). Each cat that gets spayed and neutered is helping to prevent kittens being born!

I became a Shadow Cats donor first, then a volunteer and eventually a board member. My involvement has grown over the years because I have seen the amazing work that Shadow Cats has done for the most vulnerable cats. Those who are sick, injured or struggling to survive have a chance to be healed and move into forever homes because of the One Life Fund and giving back to animals all around the state.

Shadow Cats and the One Life Fund have helped me assist many community cats in Hays County. Through their support these cats were able to get spayed, neutered and receive medical care. Hays County is not a no kill county so without the support of a rescue like Shadow Cats there would be almost no help in this area for those animals who are trying so hard to survive on their own. I am grateful for the support that they offer and know that Shadow Cats is making an impact beyond their rescue sanctuary.
