Like a lot of veterans post-active duty I felt that I had lost some of that sense of meaning one has while serving. Where I had once felt like I had a higher purpose as an active US military member, I found myself feeling like I was just going through the motions in my second career. Travis Manion Foundation provides a great outlet where veterans can use their skills and talents to do something greater. Having the chance to impact youth in our society and provide them the character-building tools to be something more is an awesome way to serve. It is also a fantastic way for veterans to re-discover a sense of purpose and meaning. I'm really grateful for the volunteer opportunities that TMF has allowed me to participate in, and I would be less than honest if I didn't say that I think I get as much or more out of volunteering with TMF than I put in.
