Working with the FLJC has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. For starters, I was actively helping individuals change their lifestyle. By offering a second chance to individuals who want to make a positive change in their life brings a sense of accomplishment and joy, and I had the opportunity to be a part of that. Secondly, I had the great pleasure of working with a phenomenal team. They became great mentors who were both positive and supportive. Through their teamwork and guidance, I was able to grow and improve as a legal intern. Additionally, I developed various skills that I can carry through to my future career(s). The FLJC is a worthwhile organization that diligently aids individuals on criminal justice involvement matters, and I highly recommend anyone who has a passion for advocacy to intern/volunteer.
