With just under two years clean myself I have had the honor of watching MARR set an unparalleled precedent in the field of treatment and recovery from addiction. Several women I know have made enormous strides in their lives passing through the women's facility in Lawrenceville Georgia. The strong sense of community, and immense support these young ladies receive as they prepare to begin their lives anew in recovery is phenomenal. Personalities begin to change, lives are repaired, families reunited.

I recall one young lady from when i first began my own treatment who was quiet, withdrawn, and so unsure of herself. After a few months she quickly lightened up, began hanging out with the other girls in the program, and before long seemed to jump right out of her shell.

Today this same young lady is an active alumni of MARR, giving back the same love, and understanding she received. Sponsoring several other young women in their journey through the initial trappings of addiction. I can honestly say that she is doing everything she can to make even a small part of the world better. Not necessarily what most people think of when the hear the word "addict".

And she is just one of many. Nearly everyone I know who has come through MARR has emerged a changed person, ready to tackle life on life's terms just like the rest of the world.
