Review for Minnie’s Food Pantry, Plano, TX, USA
There is so much to be said about Chery "Action" Jackson and Minnie's Food Pantry; I was a volunteer when Minnie's Food Pantry first begin and I was amazed to watch Cheryl pull food off of her own shelves to stock Minnie's Food pantry. We used the Sister of savings system and cut coupons and use the Buddy list to find the best deals and Cheryl would use her own money to Stock the shelves. Cheryl vision for the Food Pantry has always been to have the top of the Line Pantry and always making the clients that are being served feel wlecome and loved. Cheryl is always brainstorming of how she can make Minnie's Food Pantry a better place. I was amazed to see her heart towards complete stranger; she is always putting other people needs before hers; she has become a voice and a mouth piece for the hungry. Minnie's Food pantry is feeding more families then ever before and needs continue support & donations of those who wants to join the movement and help end Hunger. Volunteering and donating has beens so rewarding and fulfilling. I have cried many tears from interacting with the clients who would begin cry and constantly thank you for the helping them in there time of need & watching everyone come together to help those who are in need of assistance. At Minnie's Food Pantry you can find smiling faces, quality food, & hope for a better tomorrow. Cheryl allows people to come back twice a month without making anyone feel ashame or bad for taking advantage of this twice a month allowance. Cheryl understands that some people will come to the Pantry just for a temporary need and that some people need will be constant due to the lack of funds due to a fixed income. It touches my heart to know of a place I can send people in need and I know that they will be handled with care and love. I'm so grateful to have had an opportunity to be part of a organization that care for others. Cheryl continue unselfishly help those whose are in need and the more funding she has to work with the bigger her giving becomes.

I've personally experienced being able to send about 10 familes from my job to Minnie's Food Pantry for the Thanksgiving give away; which included a full Thanksgiving meal. Miinnie Food pantry just doesn't just help those that have lost their jobs or low income but also the working people that works to pay bills and doesn't have enough moneu to buy food once the bills are paid.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would make sure I continue to support Cheryl and encourage her to continue to never give up on her visions for Minnie's Food Pantry.
