I had been a sponsor with Unbound for some years when I started the new sponsorship of a widow in Guatemala. It was shortly later that I had the opportunity to visit with her. It was early in my visit that we went into a church for some brief prayer. When we came out she displayed notable tearing. I asked her if it was the smoke from that candles that bothered her eyes. She said that she just received the first of her monthly food deliveries and was so happy that she would not have to suffer with hunger again. Years later she is the same but also now wears shoes for the first time in her life.
