We are a lab family and were broken hearted when our 3rd lab, Sammy, a 10 year old chocolate lab succumbed to her heart problems right after Christmas 2021. We always knew we'd get another dog, but we needed time to heal our hearts and also reclaim a little of the freedom that we had lost caring for a sick dog. I filled out the thorough application with WCLRR and were contacted quickly to do a virtual home interview. Since we weren't quite ready yet, we postponed that a month. The interview went well and we were approved. We knew that we probably would adopt towards the end of summer but I always referred back to the available dogs for updates.
When the timing was right for us, we found Bella Luna ready for adoption. Working with the WCLRR team was very easy and as they say, they are all about the dogs and what is best for them. We are proud that we were chosen for Bella Luna. All of the information about her has been accurate and thorough and we're happy she's a new member of our family.
