We are so grateful to have been reintroduced to this outstanding non-profit during a church service about 5 years ago. The reality of our blessings truly hit home, especially after reading through the folios that cataloged the story of each sponsee, and their social and economic challenges. After prayerful consideration we chose to sponsor 2 children, a young girl in India and a young boy in Tanzania. We correspond a few times a year, and it is always so life-giving to receive these updates. Recently the girl, who is about 10, asked how we decided on sponsoring her. I shared how we met her through church, and that her story of having a single mom connected with our hearts and to our own stories. I also shared that we sponsored a 5 year old boy from Tanzania. She recently wrote back that she is so excited to know she has a 'sponsor-brother' in Africa, and that she will be praying for him. THIS is what life is all about.
