We adopted two miniature horses in 2020 from Equine Aid, our first experience with them. The entire application and adoption process was careful and smooth. The most outstanding aspect to me was the engagement of volunteers. When we visited Equine Aid, we met numerous volunteers, including the person who interviewed us and introduced us to all the horses as well as several other people who were mucking stalls and grooming the horses. It isn't always easy to engage volunteers, and it was impressive.
The barns and corrals were clean and well maintained. It seemed that every equine was treated as an individual with a unique personality.
The information we received about the horses was accurate and thorough and we are greatly enjoying them as part of the family. All in all, a great experience.
