As a retired educator whose own children are grown, I was finding myself lonely about not having meaningful contact with students. I was also searching for a way to give back to God some of what He'd generously shown to me. I found a boy from Nicaragua whose name is Joseph, my father's name. I found myself sharing a lot of interests with him like studying and piano. I am so very proud of him. I then sought another child to sponsor and found Fatuma, a girl whose birthday is the same day as my mother's. With both of these children I feel a strong bond and share their photos with my own grandchildren. Whatever monetary support I can give is returned to me many times over each time I receive a letter from these lovely children. All of this is made possible through Unbound.
