My wife and I have sponsored a number of people for many years. It is amazing to us how far our donations go in other countries. We have sponsored both young and old in countries like Honduras, Philippines, Nicaragua, and others. These people are so loving and grateful for our support that they are actually doing more for us than we are for them! Our country is so blessed. How we define poor in the United States and how these people define poor are world's apart. Many of them struggle just to find food every day. But it's just not the physical support, but more importantly the spiritual support about Jesus Christ. Our sponsored friends are so thirsty for the Good News. By sponsoring a person, we can then accomplish two goals: Physical and Spiritual. It can't get much better than that!
