Being a single mom and ESL graduate student hasn't been easy for me. Though I have never given up and always try hard because I believe in a brighter future after graduating. Fortunately, I have earned 3.9 in my graduate GPA and earned a scholarship from the Honor Society.I deeply appreciate the Honor Society and am fateful for the scholarship. With inflation, the financial situation of a full-time student and single mom with a four-year-old boy is challenging. This scholarship will not only support my financial challenges but also give me more confidence in the Ph.D. pathway. The scholarship gives me hope for a bright future that if I never stop working hard, I will be recognized and rewarded by the wonderful society and community. It's also the best award for an immigration family like us to believe that we are welcome here in the United States no matter where we came from, race, or ethnicity.
