Our family adopted a kitten over 19 years ago from your organization. She lived until last month. She provided much joy to our family. In the 19 years, the process to adopt a new cat is now cumbersome and unreasonable. Everything is completed on-line - no personal interaction. My adult son submitted an application, which indicated that the cat would be both indoor and outdoor. Based on that response to that single question, we were denied access to a cat and rejected by your organization. There was no discussion on how we defined an outdoor cat, such as place of residency (city vs. suburbs). The assumption was that the cat would sleep and eat outdoors. This would never be the case! Since there is an overpopulation of cats, your process as well Kitten Angels is not increasing the successful introduction of a cat/kitten to a family. I would NEVER recommend your organization based on the recent interaction. Too many cats / kittens and too few families. That is not helping the overpopulation of cats / kittens with your narrow interpretation of a single on-line question.
