Review for West Coast Labrador Retriever Rescue, RIVERSIDE, CA, USA
we have been a Labrador family for over 30 years. When the time came for our fourth lab, we decided to rescue an adult dog, so we began to investigate WCLRR. We looked at the dogs available and put in our application.
It wasn’t too long before we received an invitation for a zoom call. During the call, we were vetted, and we showed our home and family. We introduced our other rescues, a chihuahua and mixed terrier, and generally had just a real nice conversation about dogs and WCLRR.
We were told we would be placed on a waiting list, but we should keep checking the site. And that is what we did. Then, one day, we saw an 8-year-old chocolate lab named Kona. We asked about him and was put in touch with his foster family. We were warned he pulls when he goes on walks (he really doesn’t) and likes to steal shoes (he does, but just to keep him company, he doesn’t chew them up).
We were invited to visit Kona in person. We fell in love with each other, and he decided he wanted to come home with us.
We just wanted to take the time to thank WCLRR for the blessing which is Kona. We highly recommend this organization for their professionalism, commitment to labs and their people, and the passion they demonstrate with what we would assume based upon our experience, the pairing of families and dogs.
The Schutz family.
