Last week I was at a rodent behaviour and management conference in Tanzania and finally got to achieve one of my dreams - visiting Apopo in Morogoro and meeting (and cuddling!) HeroRats. The organisation has always been dear to my heart and I have sponsored a HeroRat for around 10 years, so getting to hold Kennedy the retiree was incredible. All the staff I met were incredibly professional, and Lily was lovely and so helpful during the entire process. I was lucky enough to have a tour followed by a visit to the training site the next day. All this has made me even more convinced that Apopo is genuinely an incredible organisation worth supporting.
