Our group is new this year and honestly the founding members weren't sure if we could make much of an impact this early. We knew there were things we could do to make a positive difference, but when we connected with the Society of St. Andrew our help to the community grew exponentially. We were able to support our local elementary school's desire to give the students a hands-on experience with growing edible plants. Many in our community live in what's considered a food desert and we were able to use the plants and seeds SOSA provided to help educate residents on how to grow their own produce. This is our first year and with SOSA's support we were able to accomplish much. We can only imagine what the future holds, with a support as wonderful as SOSA!
