Shadow Cats has been such a Godsend to my small rescue in North Texas. I have reached out for help previously for 13 cats found in a field and they were so amazing to help me cover the cost of the vetting and special care needed for all of them. One of the 13 had a severe head tilt and needed extra medical attention. She was finally able to get adopted by a wonderful family. Shadow Cats plays a very important role in helping the community cats in need.

In January of 2022, my rescue took in an adorable little 8-week old boy off the streets with severe glaucoma in both eyes and needed to have both eyes removed right away. I was desperately looking for help covering the bill for this surgery and reached out to Shadow Cats with my need. They were SO amazing and so kind and helped pay toward this very high vet bill. As a result of Bugs, the kitty getting this much needed surgery, he made a miraculous recovery and was able to be adopted. His new Daddy messages the rescue all the time with updates and how amazed this little boy is in spite of not being able to see. He runs and climbs and plays like a normal sighted kitty! Recently he has discovered that he loves music and whenever his Daddy plays music in the living room, Bug will come running and sit with his face toward the music and sit very still and listen. Once the music is over, he runs off to play again. This amazing life of love for this kitty would not be possible without Shadow Cats and for that we are eternally grateful!
