I had the good fortune to travel to Ethiopia with a small group from h2Empower.
I witnessed first hand the good and important activities this non-profit has done. I saw how water, which had not been available, was brought into a school for youngsters. I also saw classrooms being constructed which would let the natural light inside as opposed to the dim, dark classrooms that most young students had to learn in. The schools had libraries with books that had been provided
by h2Empower.
It was heartening to see the high regard with which the people held the executive director,
Helen Boxwill and how
truly appreciative they were.
We had the opportunity to travel to various parts of the country and to meet and break bread with the local people.
It was a thoroughly rewarding experience.
I have recently become a board member.
