Review for Pregnancy Resource Center Medical Clinic , San Clemente, CA, USA

Rating: 1 stars

After my visit I have a few concerns that I would like to express since I am unable to leave an honest review. First of all, this is nothing against anyone at the clinic, you were all very nice and I appreciate that. However, what I do NOT appreciate is how misleading your website is and how uncomfortable I felt during my visit. I originally schedule my appointment to receive consultation on an abortion, which I made very clear when I first walked in. When talking with the lady, I was taken back by several things throughout our conversation. The first being how many personal questions she was asking me(that have nothing to do with why I want to get an aboration), secondly showing me rubber babies at different stages in their life is inappropriate and some of the things she was saying to me are scientifically incorrect. As our conversation continued I realized she was a very religious person and was not there to educate me on abortion and instead she only talked about all the possible risks and all the negative things that can happen to me or my relationship, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. Out of respect I stayed and listened to her but it felt more like an intervention than receiving actual scientific and helpful information. After I left your clinic crying, I looked you up on the non-profit registry and came to find out that your mission and I quote " help and hope to those affected by pregnancy related issues through our free and confidential services and the love of JESUS CHRIST". I am not a religious person and have nothing against being religious. However, what I do have a problem with is how you claim to be transparent but that is the farthest from the truth. I don't understand how you can pose as a judgement free clinic yet after telling the lady multiple times that I am here to learn about aboration she kept pushing other possibilities. You are not a neutral, safe space for women. Instead of acting like your clinic is transparent you should let people know your religious affiliation because for some women that is what they might be looking for. However, for someone like me who wanted the honest truth about aborotion and real helpful information, I left empty handed, embarrassed, and quite frankly very infuriated at the lack of professionalism. Once I am able to leave a review, I will be doing so not to talk down upon the clinic but to inform the public to think twice before making an appointment. As I mentioned before, this clinic would be great for some women but it can also be very harmful for women who think they are entering a safe NON BIAS clinic.

With all do respect I think what you're doing is wrong or at the least be transparent.
