I've been involved with Young At Heart for 10+ years and what stands out to me the most is their mission to do whatever is best for the animals in their care. Any needed medical care is addressed, they live cage-free in a homelike setting, the staff is incredibly caring and they do a great job of finding them forever homes that are a good fit. Despite often arriving under tragic circumstances, the animals that find their way here will have their best chance for a positive future. If I could no longer care for any of my pets and they ended up here I would feel relieved knowing they will be loved.
